It has been 70 years since the Korean war occurred. In the 1950's Korean War, young and courageous war veterans fought against communist North Korea for helping South Korea under the U.N. flag. Those noble people risked their lives to preserve liberty and democracy in a foreign territory far away from their own homes.
Peace, prosperity and liberties that we cherish today are built on their selfless sacrifices and contributions. It's time to repay their courageous and selfless sacrifices, their countless contribution and valuable lessons which we got from them.
Therefore, we establish 『Korean War Memorial Foundation』, showing that their sacrifices were not in vain. We want to repay them for all their thankful support by providing educational opportunities for the Korean War veterans' descendants.
『Korean War Memorial Foundation』has a plan to support educational expenses for veterans' descendants who meet certain criteria of selection. For people who want to study in Korean university or graduate school, living expenses and extra necessary costs will be paid.
Descendants of veterans, who are studying in elementary schools, middle schools and high schools of target nations, are the first target. The second target group includes descendants of veterans (21 countries of the UN) who want to continue their studies in university or graduate schools in Korea.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive schooling expenses for their studies.
Awards for students who study in Korea(i.e. the second group of How We Help) will include living expenses too. In addition, they will make a contract with renowned university of South Korea including Seoul national university, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Hanyang University, Soon Chun Hyang University, Sook-myung women's university, UNIST, Pusan University, and Chungnam National University.
If you want to study at the university in Korea, you should be selected as a scholarship student through the procedure below.
